Taboo Period Products
BLOODY IMPORTANT CONVERSATION
CHALLENGE

1 in 5 Australians who menstruate do not have proper access to period care. Although modern businesses are seen as socially proactive, many don’t view period products as a workplace necessity. The conversation around menstruation is still stigmatised and because of this, workplaces don’t see period products as their responsibility.

STRATEGY

Empower people to start an important conversation and help to facilitate change by providing a platform for employees to request period products for their workplace.

CREATIVE EXECUTION

We created a microsite that allowed employees to send an anonymous email to their workplace requesting a supply of period products, alleviating the stress of contacting the boss or HR representative in person.

RESULTS

We reached over 2m people through a PR campaign resulting in coverage from 13 publications, as well as an additional 30k through social media campaign (with a 14% engagement rate) with a budget of only $1k.
